Development of a Biomechanics Reporting Application

Client:

Specialized in building and customizing high performance optical measuring systems based on innovative technologies. The client is a leading provider of novel optical systems by means of different cutting edge camera technologies. The solutions are active in the sports, medical and industrial market.

Business  Needs:

§  The client has a system that helps the end users (clinicians or biomechanics) about clinical diagnosis, treatment decisions, footwear or insole selection or input for footwear design.

§  The client requires a reporting module that automatically generates a personalized foot analysis reports.

§  The report must be flexible and customizable to the demands of the users. For example, ability to configure customer logo; interchange patient/subject foot; number of walking trials, kinematic and dynamic parameters; define the expression of the results: raw values, normalized values following body mass, dimensionless values.

Solutions:

§  We provided dedicated distributed teams of optimal size and composition on BYT Engagement model with desired functional and technical competence for development of reporting application

§  Design and Development of a very configurable, scalable and robust solution.

§  Handling of large number of patients information.

§  Used Microsoft’s platform with .Net 3.5 framework - ASP.NET / C# /MS SQL 2008 R2 Express for developing the application..

§  The key features included preparation of the reports of foot analysis, kinematic ankle , kinematic moment, Dynamic  ankle, dynamic moment , ground reaction force (GRF) and stance report.

Technology Platform:

  • Microsoft development platform: Microsoft .NET 3.5 framework with SQL Server 2008 R2 Express.

  • We provided structured project teams of 3 personnel with well-defined functions like scrum master, team members, GUI designers, that developed web application using agile project management methodology.
